I Saw My Dad Today.

The title has absolutely nothing to do with my blog post. But I did see my dad today, he was in town and stopped by my work.

I also moved since the last time we chatted, which is my excuse for not blogging. I’m sure I’ll have another excuse for the next time I don’t blog in a while. When in all honesty I just need to face the fact that I am just a bad blogger and should be shunned by the blogsphere. (please don’t shun me. *insert fingers crossing*)

Today… while tonight, at 10:10 pm I wanted to share with you my jewelry collection. I would like to add a little disclaimer and say by no means am I trying to brag, and all that other stuff you have to say or else people get mad. I just like shiny things.

Remember folks, Diamonds are a girls befriend. Even if the diamonds are as fake as Dolly Parton’s breast.

Okay here it is.

This necklace says “Dogs aren’t my whole life the make my life whole” Then it has my dogs name which is, Al. It also has a paw, a cross, and a heart.

These are the rings I have at the moment. I’ve lost of few of them in the move. The big sparkly one in the back is actually a turtle. Love him.

I love watches. People think I spent a lot on my watches but in all honesty they were 12.50 at American Eagle.

Sorry this photo is blurry. I don’t have many bracelets. Actually these are mostly bangles. Hey! who doesn’t love loud fun jewelry?!?!

“Earrings. Beautiful earrings. Beautiful gorgeous earrings for pierced ears” -Earrings Which was my favorite book growing up, I still have it, well, whats left of it. I had more hoops as well and they got lost in transition.

I love necklaces. Its a cheap and cute way to spice up any top.

Some of my favorite necklaces:

Favorite bracelet

Favorite rings

This ring is from my great grandmother. and I wear it almost everyday. Its so pretty.

I mean look at it. It’s a flippin bird. I should wear it on my middle finger and give people “the bird”

My favorite piece by far is the one that has Al’s name on it. Me living 1.5 hours from him kills my heart.

My soulmate.

Destiny’s Child has a song for everything.

Cue the Destiny’s Child music:

“The shoes on my feet, I bought it.

The clothes I’m wearing, I bought it.

The rock I’m rockin’, I bought it.

Cuz I depend on me”

Guys. I like the fact that I can take care of myself. I feel like I have a plan and I know what I’m doing.

It’s kinda defeating though when my parents see me as a loser, and probably living on welfare in the near future.

Oh well, it just drives me to prove them so wrong.

I am excited for what the future has to offer.

This time next year I will have my cosmetology license!

I am so excited. I have a very reliable way to pay my rent and bills so I am not super worried. Well, as worried as I’d be if I didn’t have this plan.

I only have…. 16/17 days until I move in! How exciting!

Okay, anyways guys! Guess what I bought today!

*cue drum roll*

I just told my grandpa all about it and I’m sure he is just hiding his excitement. He probably will go out and order his soon.

Look at the beauty!

Soo…. see ya soonish! Miss you! Love you!

Diva on a Dime DIY

So like I said a few days ago, I am moving!

There is just one teeny, tiny, ginormous problem. Furniture is so freaking expensive…. if you do it wrong.

Now don’t get me wrong, when I have a big, fancy job someday I too wish to own a nice furniture set. But for the time being, I am just a girl that works at Panera, and make minimum wage.

(counting the days until I get that cosmo license)

So, here I am showing you how you too can be a diva on a dime!

Step one: Go to a thrift shop. (I am a goodwill lover)

Step two: Find a piece of furniture you like.

This is the gem I found.

Step Three: Spend the day with your grandmother, have some fun, and go buy spray paint.

okay.. the grandma part isn’t mandatory, but is highly recommended. Grandmas rock! Well, mines actually a “nana” not a grandma.

Step four: Demo if you’re changing it in any way. Fill the holes with caulk, sand, and wipe down.

Step five: Grab some paint clothes and get to spraying!

Step six: spray and let dry.

Step seven: blog the rest of the piece tomorrow when you finish it.

As for now, I’m off to Half Off Apps at Applebees.

See ya tomorrow! Happy Easter!

Remember 1 Cross + 3 Nails = Forgiven.

Today’s look, and probably tomorrow’s too.

So remember when I posted about Maurices? Well, one week later and I still love them with all my heart. I love this outfit. It’s beyond comfortable, and looks super cute.

I love palazzo pants, why people aren’t wanting to embrace this look is saddening. I know they look like pajamas, but they’re not, so you can wear them.

I forgot to mention that I got this whole outfit (except the necklace) from Maurices.

The necklace is from Cato Fashions, which is also one of my favorites.

I think I have already worn this outfit three days this week (mostly to work), but it’s a simple little retail job, and you can get away with wearing the same outfit all the time.

Okay, I know this was a super quick post, but I have to go work at my other job now.

Me + Working 62 hour work weeks = tired beyond possible.

I am for sure blogging tomorrow! I get done working at two! See ya then!

Spring Cleaning.

I cleaned my room today guys. Now this may not seem like a big task for many but most days I have my closet sprawled out across my bedroom. I guess I like to see my options at all times, instead of tucked away in a tiny closet.

I needed to do some spring cleaning, and I am glad I finally did it!

Here is the finished product.

I’m proud that I got this done, I kept saying “I’ll do it today…..errr…..tomorrow.” Then somehow that “tomorrow turned into three weeks later. That’s is 21 tomorrow’s. That’s pathetic.

Bad, Selina.

Besides my task I completed today, I also wanted to tell you guys about this store I am obsessed with.

I’m sure I’ve mentioned Maurices on my blog before, and I’m going to mention it again. IAbsolutelyLoveThisStoreWithAllMyHeart!!!!!!!!!!!

My style, especially in the summer is very Bohemian or “boho” as people say. I love lace, and crochet tops. Palazzo pants get me every time too. Those darn things are just the best.

Maurices, is seriously the best, it’s almost too dangerous for me to walk in there.

I’ll link some of the stuff I like from there below.

Palazzo Pants – $34.00

Tank – $29.00

Kimono – $20.00

Maxi Dress – $44.00 (Eureka! This price makes me sad.)

Tunic Vest – $34.00

Bralette – $14.00 (Hooray for small “speed bumps” where we can wear these!!)
Okay that’s all for now! I hope you enjoyed this post! Have a lovely night! I’ll talk to you all as soon as possible!

Love you! Have a fantastic rest of your evening.
